ANDONIAINA ANDRIANOMANANA, known professionally as CHOUPPIII, is a Malagasy artist and humanitarian photographer whose work deeply explores human identity and resilience. My journey began long before professional equipment was acquired, where a fervent passion for image-making found its voice through borrowed cameras and mobile phone lenses. This dedication crystallized into an intensive, professional practice in 2024, following the acquisition of my own camera, marking a formal entry into the global photographic arena. Specializing in monochrome portraiture, my practice is a rigorous study of composition and light, focusing on capturing the quiet strength and inherent dignity of the subjects. My commitment to powerful narratives has earned international recognition, notably being selected as the sole Malagasy artist to represent Madagascar at the Expo Metro Hong Kong 2025 with the work "Zaza Gasy." Each photograph aims to transform the ordinary into a visual poem, elevating the daily reality and rich culture of the Great Island onto the world stage.
