For the past 20 years or so I've been an amateur photographer taking photographs on the spur of the moment, mostly of landscapes or sky scenes and usually on my phone. Although my Dad tried to encourage me by passing on his old DSLR,, at the time I found it a cumbersome and expensive tool that wasn't conducive to my impulsive style of candid photography. Wow was I a fool for not giving it a go, sorry Dad! :) In 2018, I met someone with a drone and fell in love with the digital video recording potential of a birds-eye-view. This led me to buy my own drone with the intention of using it to take landscapes of the beautiful countryside. I also was also given the opportunity to use my Photoshop skills, by my mother-in-law, to look at her photo albums and digitise them and in my spare time I have had to restore and enhance, to-date- well over 400 and I am still going:) Putting it simply, I just love taking and processing photographs and in 2019 my wife encouraged me to finally pursue it as a serious hobby and so I finally started using a DSLR instead of just my phone and decided to actively try and learn how to become a better amateur photographer. This has been a great introduction to photography and I look forward to developing my confidence and technique in this highly skilled artistic and incredible medium.
