Antony Cooper

I studied Fine Art Painting, as well as having a BA(hons) I also have a post graduate cert ed. Though my career as an art teacher never really got started. Instead I spent ten years as full a time carer. At the end of which I had forgotten how to paint and teach! My creative side was sustained throughout that period by macro photography, it was something I could do in the front and back garden. It was there that I learnt the importance of being earnest! Being passionately and seriously engaged in what one is doing came quite naturally to me so I had never given it a second thought! And now I think of nothing else. It informs my art and guides my hand. It allows me to surprise myself every day and reveals new wonders on a minute by minute basis. Photography is not a hobby, a pastime or something I do, it is much more than that.
