Aung Chan Thar

I’m Aung Chan Thar, a Young ASEAN Storyteller, travel photographer, and photography instructor from Myanmar. I’ve won over 170 international photography awards from 30+ countries and hold titles like AFIAP, BPSA, QPSA, LPSS, APSS, and BEPSS. I’ve trained over 1,000 students and continue to offer guidance and solutions to photographers facing challenges. I founded the Myanmar Photography Academy (MPA) to provide free photography education to young people, many of whom have gone on to win international awards. With support from ACB, I led conservation photography workshops that resulted in a national photo exhibition and book. I’m also the author of the Burmese-language book “The Art of Mobile Photography.”
