My name is Jen Glagola and I live in the beautiful Colorado town known as Woodland Park, but I only landed here after my time in the military. Raised on the eastern shore of Maryland, I joined the Army in January of 2009 and spent my service time in Colorado, Texas, Germany and Afghanistan. In September of 2016, I was forced out of the service on a medical retirement, but I happily stayed in this state because of my appreciation for it’s beautiful scenery and it’s more left-leaning occupants. I experimented with photography in my late teens and early twenties, but I sold my equipment when I joined the service. A long retired pageant girl, and as a burlesque dancer (Bailee Bandersnatch) for over a decade, I have spent a lot of time posing in front of cameras to capture all kinds of promotional photos, and damn if I didn’t miss being behind it. Just like everyone else, 2020 gave me a lot of time to reflect, and I decided I wanted to go for it! With that in mind, over the last year, I have collected some new equipment and was able to begin my photography adventure in the summer of 2021. With a natural eye for aesthetics, my primary goal is just to create images that bring joy to humans.
