Photography brings joy to my life. Challenging, frustrating, exciting, rewarding – each photo assignment can take me to the highest peaks and lowest depths of my emotions. But I love it all. When I see an image that captures a moment of love, inspiration, happiness, determination, or even anguish and despair, it is transformative. It connects the viewer of my photography to a moment, an emotion, a cause, an injustice; it tells a story that perhaps they’ve never heard before. I am grateful that I can use my photography to educate the public beyond headlines by personalizing social issues.
