Currently a student at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I study philosophy, economic theory, and how the creative mediums of photography and design relate to the former two fields. My interest in photography has developed gradually, toying with my mom's camera here and there and reaping any photo I can from my iPhone. To accumulate my fuzzy---some would say out-of-focus---history with photography, I hosted a photography exhibit called "SOLITUDE" in early December of 2017. The exhibit explored the theme of solitude in the modern age through the photographic lens of New York City and Lisbon. It's objective was to discover the double-edged sword of loneliness and the impact it has upon the urban subject, essentially highlighting the power of being alone in a city. This is the theme I usually express in my photography as it makes up the core of my work.
