Photography is an avocation not a vocation. It inspires and is part of my design-think regime. I have a high regard for those folks who are full time, professional photographers. I am a tug boat in their wake. Designer and retired associate professor of Design, Columbia College, Chicago. Studied architecture and Fine Arts undergrad at University of Notre Dame then grad school at SAIC, with a major in Fine Arts. While in college was took some photography classes, informally, not majored. Professors included Jim Raymo and Barbara Crane, who were formerly students of Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind, famous Chicago based art photographers.
