In today's post, Photocrowd user Hana Peskova takes us along with her on a spontaneous photo shoot at a night market in the beautiful city of Arequipa, Peru.
"I love to travel and encounter other cultures. I enjoy the atmosphere of the local street markets and food stalls, where you meet the locals and experience the food from their favourite chefs. Scents, colours and the light composition combine with the satisfied customers, creates a unique charm and energy that you can't find anywhere else.
Each country has its own unmatched atmosphere, which always inspires me and spurs me on to travel more. The camera stays with me all the time, as you never know what magical or unexpected things you might come across next!
These pictures were taken in the beautiful Peruvian city of Arequipa. I was there with a group of amateur and professional photographers when we passed by this astonishing little night market, full of local cuisine and wonderful smells. Due to the poor light conditions, I was the only one to take pictures... I was not worried and tried it, and I'm glad I did. The results surprised me. Surprisingly, the lighting from the stands was sufficient for shooting, even without a tripod. These pictures were taken with a Nikon D3000 and lens Tamron AF 18-270 mm with ISO 320.
My suggestion is to take a picture of everything that catches your eye, even though conditions might not be optimal - you never know what you might capture, if you take the risk!"
