I am a casual artist and musician, and I generally take photos to use in video and music projects, just as a hobby, purely for fun and not professionally, I only use a bridge camera, and don't see myself as a serious photographer, but I have some nice photos and would like to enter competitions and hope to win some prizes, if at all possible.
