Beginner. Previously relied on an iPhone 6s and Google Photos. Firstly, a great friend of mine said my phone landscapes were great, but portraits were bad (they still are haha!). Secondly, I love to travel and found that it would be wasted opportunities if I didn't use a camera. So this led me to search for a camera. Is it a DSLR, a mirrorless or the MFT route? Didn't want anything too expensive or too heavy, nor did I want to start with a camera that has little manual controls (was also practising using an old Cosina CS3 film SLR). Hence I went with a refurbed Fujifilm X-T20 with XC 15-45 kit lens. After some fiddling, I added an XF 18-55mm just weeks before my long-awaited holiday to Seoul. I only really started to use my new setup on my 2 week trip to Seoul in December 2019, walking many miles each day. I'm still learning, as a hobby, to use my camera and I know I still have a long way to go (I found that I don't seem to follow any set photography rules!). Would really want to start astrophotography too! I post mostly on IG, but Photocrowd doesn't seem to have it under the Social tab. Recently added a cheap vintage Pentax-K 135mm F3.5 for bird photography (just to play around with), looking to add a longer telephoto lens in the future Thank you all for viewing, following me and liking my shots! Really appreciate it.
