Amateur, retired architect. Buildings, sense of place, street life, landscapes, a few portraits, quirky humor are things I like. What I think about photos: 1. A photo is captured light. Before any editing of course. 2. If you see something you want to photograph stop at the exact spot where you first thought it...get that shot at least. Talking about stationary things here. 3. A photo is nothing. Except when you lose a favorite photo and then your heart breaks for about a week! 4. Small critique: too many photos on this site show people from the back. But then I'm not a people photographer, so....
