Chu Shu-Wei

I came from distant Asia to America to expand my photography. I went to Brooks Institute to learn Professional Photography, and surely it was what I learn most from for my technology part. After Brooks, I joined the Art Center’s Photography department in Pasadena, and it brought me back to the film world, which I always love. I also learned how to express my own works to my audiences. I am currently having my photography business since 2014, and I have a couple of projects that I am working on right now. I am a travel and lifestyle photographer, and I like staying outside to create some dreamy photographs. When I am traveling, I am not just enjoying this leisure life. Whenever I arrive at a different place, country, or city, I will start carefully exploring it, understand it, and be documenting it. Through the medium of the camera, I seek to express the world in all its beauty. It is also a way for me to explore spontaneity and chance. I believe that a photograph is not made with imagery itself; the message is the vital component. I captured inspiration from my travel life like being in nature and feels it, and my work explores the relationship between the natural environment and human behavior. My travel and photography website has become part of my journey to see this world in a new way, and I am happy to share that vision with you. I love what I do, as well as the people and places I photograph. The story is just within our life, but sometimes the best stories are the ones you star in. So, here I am on the road to discover the world around me and to take many photos while I’m out there.
