UPDATE: It breaks my heart to have to add this update to announce that my beautiful Asha passed away peacefully 5th October 2021. Asha was my constant companion for the past 10 years and I'm lost without her but she will live on in my heart and from the pictures I've created around her. I will continue to upload pictures in her memory. Asha was dearly loved by all who knew her, she brought a big smile to people's faces and after death I hope she continues to do so. "Asha the star of county down" 13/07/11-05/10/21 I have no photography experience and wouldn't even class myself as an amateur. One day about 6 years ago when I was taking the usual family snapshots with the cheapest of compacts under duress. I noticed that my lovely border collie Asha was posing for the camera, she would literally stop what she was doing when I pointed the camera at her and wouldn't move till I had taken the shot. I knew this was a rare thing in dogs as they are generally camera shy. My previous border collie was camera shy and had the knack to just turn her head when I pressed the shutter...lol. My photography just started from there and I began taking more posed pictures of Asha and thinking of interesting scenes to put her to take advantage of her being such a poser. Over this past few years I've started to take non Asha pictures as well but Asha will always be my main focus. I keep saying to myself I will do some studying of photography on Youtube to know the ins and outs of photography and how to use my camera etc but have never found the time. So for the moment I will keep on doing what I'm doing and maybe one day I will get around to learning about photography and then and only then will I be able to call myself a photographer. My main aim is just to capture Asha and nothing more. I love creating funny situations for her to be in and I hope they bring a smile to somebody's face as it does mine creating them.
