
Danilo Balducci was born in 1971 and has always been fascinated by photography and the communicative power of images. He seeks human presence in his pictures. His main interests are social, war and post-war reportage but he is also experienced in the field of fashion and advertising. Danilo has worked as a professional photographer since 1996. Graduated from the High School of Photography of Rome, specialisation in social reportage. He teaches photography and photojournalism at the Accademia di Belle Arti di L’Aquila. He contibutes regularly for Italian and foreign Photo-Agencies and his photograph and stories have been published in National and International newspapers. Awards winner photographer, in 2002 he won the first prize for photojournalism Carla Mastropietro; in 2005 he won the first prize for photojournalism “Peace and liberty award” in Atri (Italy); in 2008 his photographs have received 2 bronze award from Orvieto International Photography Awards in Italy and various national and international prizes, in march 2009 winner of B.O.P. 2009 (Best of Photojournalism) 3th place in Non Traditional Photojournalism Publishing category (USA). One picture of the Italian earthquake is in Pictures of the year 2009 in LIFE Magazine. In 2015 at FIIPA (Fiof Italy International Photography Awards) his photographs have received 5 “Honorable Mention” in the categories “Photojournalism”, “Portraits” and “People”. -Absolute Winner category “People” -2nd place category “People”. In 2015 at IPA One Shot his picture on Garbage City Cairo received one Honorable Mention.
