Hello there... My name's David and I'm a photographer from Cornwall in the deep south west of the UK. I've lived here since my family moved from Kent back in the 70s, so almost all of my life, and now with my wife and children we continue to enjoy Cornwall's stunning coastline with its diversity of climate, light and landscape all year round. I am inspired by the beautiful, wild and changing landscapes of the Cornish coastline, generally in high contrast black and white or rich colour depending on the season and conditions. Rather than just take a record of the location through a photographic image, I always strive to add my own interpretation and a little drama to the images I shoot. There are so many locations and opportunities for landscape photography here all year round. Winters are often grey and cold and the days are shrouded in mizzle, blown in from the Atlantic. Powerful February storms break on the tiny fishing villages and high headlands. In Spring and Summer the meadows and woodlands light up with wild flowers and the beaches warm under the glow of the summer sun. Every day conditions and the quality of light changes with the flow of warm and cold fronts from the ocean. I am technically an amateur photographer, still holding down a nine to five job but doing my best to get out on weekends and evenings looking for the next great image.
