Initially an artist in landscape painting - mostly oil on canvas; portraiture in soft pastels and still life in watercolour and acrylics. Photography came alongside quietly at first - candid shots of my family and landscapes to paint from but that all changed when I bought my first digital - the Canon EOS 450 with two kit lenses, the Canon 18-55 mm and Sigma 70-300mm. Then I was totally hooked and ran around photographing everything like a demented lunatic. I have since upgraded to the Canon EOS 70D, with a Canon 18-135 mm lens (and loving it) then added a Tamron 90mm Macro, Sigma 10-20mm Wide Angle and a Canon 50mm prime lens to my collection. But I have to say here that my most favourite lenses though are the 3 vintage Pentax lenses I bought on eBay. They are the Super-Multi-Coated Takuma 200mm, 85mm and 28mm prime lenses using only the best quality adaptors to fit them onto my Canons and old Pentax ME camera. Obviously these lenses have to be manually set, but what a delightful pleasure it is to use them, the glass is outstanding and quality of images when I get the settings right, superb. Bit like driving an old Roll Royce I would imagine. :-)
