I am Easa Lebbe Muhammed Jamsith, an award-winning wildlife, nature, and travel photographer from Sri Lanka. My work reflects evocative visual storytelling and a deep connection with the natural world. My journey began in childhood as an artist and naturally evolved into photography during my early teens, where observation, patience, and imagination found their fullest expression. Today, my photography embodies ethical field practices, perseverance, and profound respect for wildlife and fragile ecosystems. Born in a remote rural village in Sri Lanka, my bond with nature was shaped by life among forests, wetlands, and wildlife. Surrounded from an early age, I developed an instinctive understanding of natural rhythms and animal behavior. This connection became the foundation of my work, driving me to capture unseen moments and untold stories with authenticity and emotional depth. My work has earned international recognition. I received the Grand Prize at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Environmental Photographer of the Year 2022, and was shortlisted in the Top 10 of the PLANET category at the COP28 Photography Competition, organized with HIPA. Three of my photos were finalists at the 9th Al Salam Championship – Emirati Men’s Amateur Race 2024 (HIPA partnership), and I was also shortlisted for Environmental Photographer of the Year (EPOTY) 2022 in the UK and a finalist at the XVII Golden Turtle International Wildlife Photography Contest 2023 in Russia. Beyond awards, my work focuses on conservation awareness. Through wildlife behavior, landscapes, and environmental narratives, I explore the delicate balance between humanity and nature, inspiring responsibility, empathy, and protection. I continue to work as a freelance photographer and visual storyteller, using photography as a voice for nature, a window into culture, and a bridge between humanity and the wild.
