"I have a need to capture every perfect moment; every captivating light; every amusing fancy. It's a still of time, a time warp, a voyage; when I'm behind the camera, I'm transported to other worlds. The lens can pick up so many things that my eye is incapable of; it's like a sixth sense, and when it's being used, all other senses stop as I enter an entirely different realm. it takes me outside of myself, where there is no space, time, or gravity; it's the ultimate escape." ~E.T.S. BIO: After having received her first camera at age ten, Elizabeth snapped her inaugural images during a trip to San Francisco. Impressed by her photographic eye, her mother upgraded her simple aim-and-shoot to a Pentax 35 millimeter, and enrolled her in her first photography class. Also intrigued, her instructor took extra care to pass on her knowledge of the art, even spending extra time with her after class. In high school, Elizabeth continued her photographic studies at The Putney School (a progressive boarding school that focuses on the arts). Over the years, she has owned 20 different cameras, and has rarely stopped shooting. She rarely enters competitions, but has won a few awards, and is currently working on collages and light boxes for her next show.
