As an amateur photographer joining Photocrowd was an initiative to show primarily my Work of ice and rocks which are reminiscent of surreal, impressionist and of pareidolia resemblance. After a month participating in various contests and rating peers entries, I concluded that my objective will not be met. However, like many members, I have multiple interests in a variety of subjects which provides me the opportunity to participate. It’s alright, I like being part of this community as it brings me back in time and in some instances years ago searching for photos meeting a given contest/brief of interest. What I like is twofold: photos I submits have in some instances been taken with a variety of cameras ranging from pocket cameras to cel phone to conventional ones that are judged by how they rather connect with members/judges. The 2nd is where I find many contests offers a window of members’ own experience which selected photos makes me discover and at times feel that moment they’ve experienced in a part of the world that I will never go to or not have the opportunity to or will pick my interest to visit
