Trained as an architect, I consider photography as a tool to explore and discover - and uncover - hidden aspects of reality. My work is directly connected to previous explorations by painters, notably automatist, expressionist, abstract and surrealist ones. I tend to make photographs-that-are-not-photographs of a world-that-doesn't-exist. This is why I consider myself more of an image-maker than a photographer per se.
