Gary Dixon

I turned 60 in Aug 2013, I'm married and I live in the North East of England, UK. My main interests are photography, music, walking, cycling, travelling and reading. I’ve been interested in photography since my early 20’s with my own darkroom at home where I produced monochrome photographs and did some hand coloured tinting using photo dyes. Since December 2006 I switched to digital and whilst I always enjoyed producing work in the darkroom I’ve not been back in the darkroom since then- as digital is much more convenient. My photographic interests are wide and varied and over the years I had been an active member of a local camera club. The photographic equipment that I use is: Canon 7D slr, Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 lens, Canon 17-40 mm L lens, Canon EF 70-200L IS lens, 1.4 extender, Benbo trekker tripod and various other filters etc. I always welcome comments and constructive criticism of my photos. I try to view and comment upon as many photos as I can and I usually visit the site of anyone who has commented on my work.
