Gorakh Bista

Gorakh Bista is an adventure and travel photographer/videographer based in Kathmandu. He orginally hails from the remote region of Humla in Karnali district. His decade long career in photography had very humble beginnings as a travel photographer. But, he later explored all major areas including wildlife, nature and adventure photography. He now specializes in travel photography and videography. Gorakh has also directed and shot numerous documentaries including the popular ones like Trophy Hunting and Lilumati's Diary. His landscape photographs have been highly appreciated by the President of Nepal and the Nepal's tourism governing agency, Nepal Tourism Board. More recently, he has been working with non-governmental organizations to film issue-based social documentaries. His work has aso appeared in leading national dailies, television, exhibitions and events across the country..
