I absolutely love the big, dramatic vistas, and living in an area with less of this locally, has pushed me to explore much more of the country in search of stunning scenery. In the last 5 years I’ve not only searched out beautiful spots in my local area, but have been lucky enough to travel to some of the most stunning areas of the country on a number of occasions. There really is nothing better than being up before the world, stood in front of incredible scenery and watching how it slowly transforms and comes to life as the light does it’s work I love the use of bold, vibrant colours in my images, aiming to produce shots that jump off the screen or page and really convey the mood and atmosphere of a place. I’m also a huge fan of the creative side of photography and using techniques like long exposures and graduated filters to produce scenes that our eyes aren’t capable of seeing , even though they exist right in front of us. For me, it is shots like this that are really magical - where my camera not only allows me to see another dimension to the the world, but to also share it with others.
