Ugochukwu Emebiriodo is a curator and photographer from Lagos, Nigeria, whose keen eye for detail captures the essence of the human experience. He enjoys observing people and immortalizing fleeting moments, seeing the world as a series of frames—monochrome on some days, vibrant and colorful on most. Driven by the chaotic energy of Lagos' mainland, he finds inspiration in the city's hustle and bustle. In his spare time, Ugochukwu dabbles in poetry, blending his visual and literary arts to offer unique perspectives. He currently resides in Lagos but frequently travels across West Africa, documenting the diverse landscapes, joyous laughter, and the dusty trails that define the region. Notably, he curated the photography pavilion for the inaugural edition of the +234 Art Fair, showcasing his exceptional curatorial skills. His work has been widely published in prestigious outlets including Guardian UK, VICE UK, NPR, Monocle Magazine, Art Basel, Wilson Quarterly, ArtNet, MOMA, Irin Journal, Lost in Lagos, Kalahari Review, Indie Mag, and Culture Custodian. Ugochukwu's photography has been exhibited in major cities such as Lagos, London, Miami, Ibadan, and Derby, earning him recognition both locally and internationally. His images tell compelling stories, reflecting the rich tapestry of life in West Africa.
