Ida Hollis

My name is Ida and I am a photographer based in London and the South of England. I love to tell stories through images and in this way see the world and connect with others in as many ways possible. I have loved taking photographs ever since I was a child. My earliest memories of photography are of those little Kodak disposable cameras, cheap film cameras and my brother's Polaroid. I remember the feeling of excitement when we got the films developed, to see these moments of life frozen in time and to hold the memories in my hands. When I was sixteen I borrowed an SLR film camera from my Dad and studied in the dark room at college. Since then I feel as though I have been on an incredible journey. Every time I go out with my camera I discover something new about light, connecting with my subjects and conveying mood and emotion in my images. I love to tell stories through my photos, to find beauty in unexpected places and share my vision of the world with others.
