Janie Pratt

Married with a teenage daughter and 3 step-sons, Jane was brought up on the Isle of Wight, where she spent a carefree childhood exploring the Island’s rugged countryside and coastline, spawning her love of wildlife and nature. Her interest in arts and crafts also began early in life, heavily influenced by her grandmother, a professional artist, and her father, who was a keen amateur photographer and sculptor. After taking her A levels, including Art and Design, Jane left the Island to pursue a career with Virgin Atlantic, allowing her to indulge her interest in travel, people and culture. Her 25 years with Virgin have given her the opportunity to visit many and varied locations across the globe, from North America and the Caribbean to Southern Asia, the Far East, Australasia and Africa. Using photography as her chosen medium, Jane has been able to capture the rich diversity of the people and places she has encountered, specialising in portraiture, still life and, in particular, architecture and urban landscapes. Having secured a Professional Diploma in Photography while she’s been furloughed, Jane has recently set up Flair Fotography to bring her unique blend of photographic skills and experiences to a wider audience.
