I'm an amateur photographer originally from the South of England. I moved to Southern Ireland in 2000. My interest in Photography took off in 2011 when I was given a birthday present of a Nikon D3100 + 70-300mm Lens. After using it on Auto for about 6mths I wanted to learn how to use it properly & joined my local camera club - the best decision ever! I bought a D7100 in 2014 & really enjoyed the step up it gave me in my photography. In Sept. 2016 I was Awarded a Licentiateship by the Irish Photographic Federation. in January 2020 I upgraded to a Nikon Z6 which was a huge change & again a step up. 2020 also saw me win the ICA (Irish Countrywomen's Association) Photographer of the year, beating off stiff opposition from thousands of entrants. I've had a few years away from photography due to illness but now in 2024 I'm back & have treated myself to a new Z6_iii & some lenses.
