Jorge Ivan Vasquez

I am a graphic designer graduated from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and a photographer graduated from Artec School. I have taught graphic design for six years at University level. I was a professor in the area of graphic design, advertisement and photography. This experience gives me the opportunity to be informed and updated. My work is a blend of art and design with a rich style of my own. I look for a unique visual composition using details in an atmosphere of simplicity. I enjoy working in all the fields of photography always in search of a different kind of beauty. I have been nominated tree times to "The best of Latin American Photography" in the categories of landscape, fauna/flora, architecture and fashion. I also obtained the second place at the Kodak 1992 contest. I have exhibited my work at a collective photography show in La Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango, at Several Colombian Photography Shows, at El Centro 93 Gallery, Metropolis Gallery, and Alianza Colombo Francesa. I have also three books at this time that was selled in the most important libraries in Colombia with images of my country. Some of my clients are magazines like Equipaje, and Semana, Hotels and restaurants.
