Karla Chrast

Art has always been a big part of my life, whether it be in the form of music or now photography. My second love is animals both domestic and wildlife. My husband and I currently have three long-haired miniature dachshunds, and two cats. We are also avid birders and butterfly enthusiasts. I also enjoy flower gardening. This allows me to create new habitats for the butterflies and birds that I love. I got into photography when I met my husband, and he introduced me to hiking and travelling. I found that all the trails and parks we visited were starting to run together in my mind, so I started taking pictures to help keep them all straight in my mind. The majority of my travel photography is based in Minnesota where I was born and raised. I now live in South Dakota I am starting to find new locations to photograph in my new home.
