Born-again Beginner! Discovered this site via the British Society of Gerontology. I used to have an old Zenit SLR, but unfortunately, it's not been used for a long time; it has had a film in for years and I can't remember how to remove it! There are some wonderful photos on here, many set up of course. It's not an everyday occurrence to see a girl dangling from a bridge with one hand whilst holding onto an eagle with the other! I am impressed with the creativity however, although Photoshop, Lightroom etc get their fair share of use as well! :) But why not? If professionals use them, then it's good enough for us all! There's too much snobbery in photography as it is! In saying that, I don't even have Photoshop :( I love looking at all the photos and I always join in with the ratings. Favourites are sunsets, nature, ships, macro and the moon, and of course, you can't beat a bit of black and white. I bought a second-hand Nikon D80 so am getting to grips with it, very slowly! Think I still prefer a manual SLR, mind you, as much less to worry about! Just recently, I got a Fuji bridge camera, also second-hand, as this means no lenses to carry!
