I used to do film photography many years ago. My first DSLR was a praktika. It was a very underestimated camera back then. And very reasonably priced. I became disillusioned. Because my photos very rarely came back to me, looking the way I had envisioned, when taking a shot. About 5 years ago, I got my first DSLR and haven't looked back since. I now have control over how my photos look as opposed to someone in a far off commercial dark room. I don't worry about "photography rules" unless I'm commisioned for a shoot. Which isn't very often. I love this hobby and I'm very happy I got back into it.
