My work explores the interplay of light, atmosphere, and form — aiming to capture ephemeral moments that evoke quiet emotion and invite reflection. I’ve been engaged with visual art early on in my life, starting with classical drawing and watercolor studies under a university art professor. That experience shaped how I see, especially in terms of tone, structure, and spatial balance, and continues to inform my approach to photography. What began as a way to collect reference material for painting has evolved into a discipline of its own: a quiet, observational practice grounded in restraint and mood. My academic background is in physics (PhD, Caltech), and I now work in AI for science and engineering. That blend of analytical training and visual instinct shapes how I build and respond to images — a process as structured as it is intuitive.
