Mandy Collins

Abstract photographer and multi media artist specialising in highly visual and colourful artwork. Currently based at Milestone Studios and Gallery in New Mills, Derbyshire. My main inspiration is colour, it has a dramatic effect on our emotions, it can alter how we feel, it can bring back memories of moments in time. For me, the sea featured highly while growing up, from the crystal clear waters of North Africa to the deep winter green of the Irish Sea. Summers spent on Anglesey with the bright blue July days when the sun is warm and high and the water gleams, evenings are orange and red in the sunset, nights are emerald and black with glints of light in the surf. Much of my art features seascapes around Rhosneigr, Anglesey. Inland I love to visit open gardens and wide open spaces of the Peak District, Derbyshire. Many of my photos give me the inspiration to create very vibrant pieces, sometimes it is just a single flower like the head of a simple dandelion and sometimes it is a fabulous riot of colour I sell merchandise on Redbubble and Society 6 plus my images can be licensed on Alamy image library.
