Mark Springate

Hi I'm Mark, living in Rutland with my wife Alison in 2019. I've been taking photos forever but once I bought my first DSLR, never really took the time to 'read the manual'.! Since then I've put a lot more time and effort into my 'hobby' and thankfully there are some great YouTube videos around to show you pretty much everything you need to know! I discovered that I really enjoyed capturing wildlife (in the photographic sense!) which in this country involves a lot of birds but only because we don't have herds of Wildebeast sweeping across majestic plains! If we did I'd be out there! Spending a lot of time outdoors also gives me the opportunity to notice other aspects of nature as well. I'm also lucky enough to travel a bit so some of my images have been captured on various trips, home and abroad. Kit wise I shoot with a Nikon Z8 and a range of Z lenses including the amazing Z600 f4 TC which is rapidly becoming my go to lens for wildlife if I'm not travelling.
