Mohosin Kabir (b.1986 in Bangladesh) is a versatile visual artist. He explores diverse mediums such as Photography, Cyanotype Print, Drawing and Painting, Appliqué. Focusing on research-based works and participating in international exhibitions. Kabir graduated with both BFA and MFA in Fine Arts from the University of Dhaka. At the same time, he was the president of Dhaka University Photographic Society(DUPS). Nowdays he is one of the members of Britto Arts Trust. Kabir's art is deeply rooted in research, often exploring historical themes and cultural identities. He engages with local communities to delve into their pasts, including life histories, heritage, identity of the region, architectures, landscapes and rivers. Kabir has been recognized with several awards, including Best Photography Award 22nd Young Artist Art Exhibition in 2020 and also 1st National Photography Festival in 2012. His works has been exhibited globally, including at Documenta Fifteen in Kassel, Germany, Vantage Point 10th by Sharjah Art Foundation in UAE, and in the USA, France, Italy, Greece, Azerbaijan, Romania, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Nepal and India. Participated in India Art Fair-2024, 2023 and Documenta Fifteen-2022 as part of Britto Arts Trust. He has also worked as an Assistant Art Conservator and Documentation with Sandwich Dhaka. Kabir's ongoing project “River Delta” and upcoming book "Visual Ethnography" supported by UNESCO.
