
Nachiket Sharma is an 18-year-old photographer from Mother's International School, New Delhi, India. He is a self-trained photographer who prefers monochrome to color and loves to capture nature and urban spaces around him. He is currently pursuing a one-year Diploma in Photography from SACAC - Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communication, New Delhi,India. Nachiket has held five solo exhibitions in his school: 'Spoken Through the Lens' in 2016, 'Time of Innocence. Time of Confidences' in 2017, 'A City of Pigeons' in 2018, 'How Green was my City' in 2018 and 'The Mountain and the Maverick' in 2018. He is also the Runner Up (13-18 Youth Category) - CBRE - Urban Photographer of the Year - 2018. His photographs have appeared in Reader's Digest (July 2018) for an article 'When my glass remained full'. His photograph 'Peacock Dancers' has been selected for the UNESCO - Youth Lens on the Silk Roads Travelling Exhibition, 2019. The photo story 'The Maverick and the Mountain' by him was awarded ‘Commended for the 2019 Ian Parry Scholarship’. His photographs have appeared in Reader's Digest (August 2020) for an article 'The fight to save a mountain'. He has also won the competition 'Shadow Play' organized by SPI-streetphotographyindia on Instagram in 2021.
