I am a homeless photographer. I used to be a domestic violence victim, but now I am a survivor. A few months ago, I fled everything I knew in order to keep myself safe. Since then, I've stayed in hotels and motels but the savings ran out and I now spend the majority of nights in my car. I'm broke and I shoot all of my photography using my android phone. How depressing, right? Here are some positives that have come from my situation. If I hadn't left my home and my job, I wouldn't have discovered my passion for photography. I've had free time to travel and find beauty all around me that I didn't see before. For that, I am grateful. While I have a lot to learn, I'm excited about the possibilities that the future holds. My dream is to have a career in photography and to be an example for others, especially my daughters. I also strive for other victims and survivors of domestic violence to see that there is hope after abuse and that they can accomplish their dreams.
