Most people think my photographic journey started during lockdown. The reality is, I have always taken photos. They may not have been award winning or technically great, but I’ve always got a sense of enjoyment from them. I had my first photographic exhibition in 2010 at Goldsmith’s University where I studied for an Educational Degree. In 2023 I gained my LRPS with the Royal Photographer Society and the journey continues. I have recently been experimenting with other formats and alternative processes. There are several photographers that I have long admired. One is Charlie Waite. Predominantly known for his landscape images, many taken in a square format, he once gave me a great piece of advice when I sent an image to him, ‘in the style of Charlie Waite’. His reply was, “not to be like Charlie Waite, but to be like Natalie Hough”. Advice I try to always follow - by all means use others’ photography as inspiration but add your own personal vision to it. I currently use a Fuji X-T2 with an 18-55mm, 10-24mm and 55-200mm. I have various film cameras and a home darkroom. I also use Nisi and K&F Concept filters, Mefoto and K&F Concept tripods, and Shimoda and K&F Concept bags.
