I'm 37 and started taking an interest in photography as a child. My father was a talented amateur photographer and taught me how to use and look after a camera around the age of 10. Looking at photographs from his time in South Africa made me want to do it too. In particular a story he told me of taking photos of a camelion; waiting hours to catch an action shot of the lizard's tongue. I've always loved animals and the natural world, and I usually take inspiration from there.
