I've lived in London for thirty years now, one of the worlds major cities, and yet my photos all seem to explore solitude. They're all about the land, although often its an environment that's been shaped by human hands. People are rarely anything other than bit-part players within my pictures, even in the most populous areas like the City of London or in Soho I love sunsets, particularly on a beach or shot through the rusted arches of a faded Victorian pier. I'm well aware how cheesy that might sound, which is something that I'm prepared to live with because in honesty, that's what does it for me
