I am an amateur with a general interest in photography. I went fully digital in 2016, but much of my attitude towards this art of ours is "old school". I believe most of the job should be done before pressing the shutter. A photographer's prowess is largely about their originality and also their understanding of light, composition, exposure, colour, timing, shapes and other basic elements, rather than adding various effects by means of software. I understand some editing is needed. Yet my taste and perception of photography dictate moderation in this regard, as well as acknowledgement of any major interventions.
