I come from a science background and have so far little exposure to art in my studies and my work. Nevertheless, I am catching up. Still in my view even disease under the microscope can reveal surprising harmony and beauty. However, disease and death has dominated my life as a scientist in the lab, I feel that I am ready to take the camera off the microscope and explore the world beyond the lab. Hence, I like to rediscover my neighbourhood by exploring shapes and forms it has on offer in the first instance but on a wider scale I like to open my eyes to see the extraordinary in the ordinary throughout London and hopefully the world. My subjects of interests are more focused on human activity rather than people themselves, more in line with Michael Wolf's work. Keen interested in urban scenes, architecture scenes, product photography and the mundane. "In teaching us a new visual code, photographs alter and enlarge our notions of what is worth looking at and what we have a right to observe." Susan Sontag www.pfdphotographie.com
