UK based, I bought a 35mm SLR (Nikon F301) with my first salary payment and have been hooked ever since. Used to develop and print my own films onto b/w and colour positive (from trannies onto Cibachrome). Took me a while to go digital and used a bridge camera for about 6 years before taking the plunge and buying a full frame DSLR. What I enjoyed previously on the dev and print side is every bit as rewarding using the 'digital darkroom'.
