Plants and flowers make wonderful and rewarding subjects for abstract photography. It usually, but not always, relies on getting closer to the subject and removing surrounding distractions. Shot on a still day, their inanimate nature means that time can be spent exploring different angles, distances and compositions. Some images will be recognisable, others will leave the viewer disengaged from the subject, and focussed more on the colours, forms and textures. All plants, including trees, are fine for submission.
