Very good shot. I take it that it was it shot in the south bay area of California. I recognise the taxi company. Lighting and tonal qualities are excellent. Focus is very good especially at f/4.. Framing needs to include the base (and some outside floor) in my opinion. I can see that the exterior walls were boring but the rule of thirds would be better served if the booth was more clearly framed in that ratio, Fits the subject matter of the contest perfectly,

Wonderful picture. I love to see these pictures from the current period that reflect on the historic past where the only way you could contact with someone was on their landline. The wood tones make this an attractive picture and the reflection from the rest of the room in the windows make it clear it is a public setting even without the sign that declares it is a train station. The leading lines are good but if more of the room was in the picture then it would be better. The openings on either side would help frame the booths and add some context.

If this had been in the US, it would have been in the top ten even though it is not a sharp focused picture. It has good tonal qualities and composition is very good.. I think with a little more careful post processing this could be a very good picture! The phone camera is good enough, as I read the specifications to take this picture at a lower ISO and that have may helped to improve the focus. Also a slightly tighter crop may help. Read the brief for the correct entry parameters.
