Animals in Macro or Closeup

Thanks for entering my contest. This photo was quite eye-catching. When I first looked at it, it wasn't quite as up-close as it might should be, but then the colors, the sharpness of the image, and especially the expression on the cat's face caught me. Then I saw the title, and as I am a huge sucker for titles that fit right in with the picture, I popped it in HC, and then I loved it so much that I put it in top 10. The catchlights in the eyes really do the job well. Great job!

I loooove how he seems to be frowning a bit while screaming. The colors, sharpness, and framing of this picture are spectacular. Great job!

Thanks for entering my contest. This photo is very colorful and cute as well. I normally don't love photos of frogs enough to put in top 10, but this one, of the tiny frog framed by a tulip-looking flower, ( which I really like tulip flowers) made me like it a lot. The slightly alternating green tints in the background also help with the photo's attractiveness, just those tiny things that make the photo better.

Thanks for entering my contest. This photo is very beautiful, and a bit funny at the same time. The owl looks a bit surprised or quizzical, and the owl eyes are super clear and sharp. The heavy black vignette is super awesome, and makes the bright yellows of the owl's face pop even more.

Thanks for entering my contest! This photo caught my eye from the second I saw it. I thought " that is really needs to be in my top 10 " and it surely is! I LOVE the framing of this image, how the bird fills up the whole frame, and the eyes caught my attention the most. The way that the eagle looks almost like he's fitting his fingertips together, tipping his head down, and giving a mischievous and evil grin, about to do something a bit naughty, and the overall sharpness and coloring of the image is amazing. Great job on this photo!

Thanks for entering my contest. This photo is gorgeous! I for some reason love taking photos and seeing photos of an attractive cat with their mouth mostly open! I LOVE the colors, but they are just a tad too bright. Other than that this photo is magnificent. Adding a heavy white vignette was a very good idea as well!

Thanks for entering my contest. I normally don't look twice at chameleon pictures, but this one really caught my eye. My favorite color is red, and this chameleon having lots of red and other very vibrant colors on him made the picture really pop.

Thanks for entering my contest! This photo is absolutely beautiful. I love wolves and husky dogs, and this one with the stunning blue eyes really caught my attention. The framing and position of the image, as well as the colors and maybe a black vignette is really pretty. One little thing I would change is that the photo looks slightly fuzzy up big, so adding a bit of sharpening would be beneficial. Great job on this capture!

Thanks for entering my contest. When I saw this photo I was attracted by the cute mice, and the way that they all sat in a row all eating something. They are like the 3 bad mice acting cute for a brief instant. It is very hard to get a good photo of animals subject, I know too well. I love the colors and focus in this image, and the coloring and lighting are superb.

Thank you for entering my contest. This is a very beautiful image. As it is not quite as closeup as the brief may suggest, I still love it. The two dogs looking straight at the camera, one interested and the other one submissive, and the soft tones of this picture are great. The black and white makes it even better.
