Aviation photography

What a great image you've taken and processed, your eye is drawn into the image to the guys in front of the light. Really nice colouring too with the use of the warm orange and teal - perfect complimentary colours. And totally say's Aviation. I like that this is a setup shot and not just a photo of a plan in an airshow, this shows skill and planning. I wonder how many other shots you took of this setup, must have been hard to pick just one.

A lovely clean and simple composition, nicely processed and retouched. This image stood out to me. I'm usually not overly keen on photoshopping out things but in this case, it works beautifully. I hope you have a nice big print of it hanging on your walls somewhere. A well deserved top ten image and almost the winner. Well done to you!

Love the concept of this picture and how you came up with the idea to flip the image, works a treat and why it was commended. Just different from all the other aviation images entered. I'd love to know if you planned this shot, especially with the foreground being in the middle and the plane just off to the left.

An eye-catching and powerful image, that deserves a top 10 spot. It was the strong colours first caught my eye and drew me in to look at it closely and read the description of how this look came about. I know how hard it can be to catch a moment like this along with the processing it takes to make sure it's not over-cooked. Well done.

Nice composition, nice light and gorgeous colours, just a real shame it has that huge blown out sun in it. I find it very distracting and stops me from appreciating the whole image.. Perhaps I could suggest a tighter crop if you can.

I don't think I've seen a shot taken from an aeroplane window before that has caught my attention. This one did and the fact it's a photo of a photo of a scene makes it really work, well done a really nice shot.

Really nice long exposure and the trails popping out of the sky are just right. This image was let down by the clearly visible sensor dust and the rainbow effect visible in the shadow areas. I sure sign of being overly procced. Well done though for a great composition.

Great image, loving the mood of the storm and the flying chaps just in front of the plane. Did you set up the shot or was it a chance moment, are the people and the beam of light real or added after? Would also love to know how much was added in post?
