What can I say this is just so funny. I love the expression you were able to capture from I'm guessing the adult marmot. What really adds to this image to me is that great background. From that I can tell what type of terrain these guys live in and just how far up you are located. Stunning and funny image that tells a story.
This is just a perfect image in my opinion. There's not much bad I can say about it. I love they soft light green background that makes you subject pop. The light green color also adds to the feeling that this is indeed a baby squirrel. With nothing else to focus on our eye is immediately on the squirrel and the flower it's about to touch.

I would like to see your photos of baby wildlife. This can be any animal, bird, reptile, amphibian, or fish, but they must be in the wild. Please only enter images of wild animals, no pets or zoo animals. I will disqualify an image from my judging if it looks to have been taken in a zoo. The season when wildlife produce their young is almost over, so there should be some good shots from the past few months to enter into the contest - I can't wait to see them.

I'm going to be honest. After I chooses my 10 ten photos I look at the community votes to compare. I was shocked to see that your photo was so far down on the list. I absolutely love it. With the vast sea as your background there is no clutter and your subject is able to shine. I like more minimalistic photos when it comes to wildlife and this is a good example of one. Fantastic photo.
