Bat and ball sports

Here is a nicely composed photo from a county cricket match in England. It is a very neat photograph from an elevated position. Good timing as the ball reaches the batsman also helps to make this a very pleasing image.

This is a wonderful image of a pitcher about to release the ball who has a most unusual action in a baseball game. It's a fantastic angle in which to capture the pitcher and I like the choice of a very fast shutter speed (1/2000) to completely stop this action. Well done.

A nice image of a young pitcher here where the photographer has filled the frame nicely. I think it would be improved personally if it was straightened up and the horizon was straight. Lovely colours and a very pleasing photograph here.

A really good cricket photo here with a great angle where both the batsman and the wicketkeeper are clearly visible. The background does not distract and the batter has a fantastic determined look on his face. I would have preferred a tighter crop with less space on the left and also less space at the bottom.

A good capture here and I do like the fact that both players have their eyes on the ball. The photographer has got extremely close to the action which should be applauded. I would be inclined to crop more from the bottom of the image but a really good shot here.

I really like this photograph. The colours are great and the eye is drawn to the determined and slim batsman. I do think the image has most likely been altered in postproduction and the ball possibly added. Apologies if I am wrong on this by the way. I do like it a lot though.

A promising cricket photograph here but slightly let down by the sloping horizon. Straightening a photo is always super important as it is very distracting to view a picture which slopes. It should be a very easy operation to fix this. Otherwise this is a really good image.

This is a good cricket image and the photographer has captured the moment when the wicket-keeper is nicely in the air during an appeal for a wicket. I'd be tempted to crop in on the right and left so that the blue cover is not included in the photograph.
